"I know this sound cliche, but (insert the commonplace idea you were considering here)".... This is the new cliche. I'm not concerned that my pointing it out may seem redundant or hypocritical, but I think someone had to voice it... or has it already been voiced and by posting this, I too am a cliche? Well, circles don't have a ending point so why start now. My main point, as many a thinker has thought, is that there are no original ideas. Every concept that you come up with thinking it is genuine has more than likely been conceived somewhere else at some other point in history.
So on these grounds, why would you want to blatantly point out your nuance? Also, if it is that much of a cliche, most people would be able to gather that whatever you say later to this opening statement is not unique.
Just an observation.
And here's a unicorn!
