Harumphf-- An Uncanny Sound Effect

(Harumphf).
 (Sigh).
Crawl under the desk to avoid looking at this computer screen and turn on some emotional folk music that makes the world seem bigger than it actually is.
Why?
Because I just looked at my checking balance.
Well what's so bad about that?
I'm glad you asked.
The very process of applying to Universities is proving to be quite pricey...
For instance, an application costs somewhere around $35- 50, but if you have to rush mail an audition DVD to meet a deadline, there's another $20. Oh, and do they accept recorded auditions? Nah. So have a ball in your costly hotel in the metro-midwest!
Don't mind the gas, that's essentially free-- [SARCASM]
Not to mention the weeks you spent searching for the proper repertoire, the months you spent practicing, and the hours it took you to figure out how to burn it onto a DVD because yes, you are that technologically challenged.
On top of it all, can you really be happy? Nope. You're not even applying to your dream college or on the instrument you want to play for the rest of your life...
    But I digress.

Bottom line: save for college, but also for the application process. It can break the bank.
